SYNOPSIS

The year is 1926. Adventurous 18-year-old WILLIAM sits by his dying father’s bedside in Saint Helen’s Private Hospital. Grief ridden, William steps outside the room to compose himself. Looking for a quiet space to gather his thoughts, William walks through the door of what he believes is a storage closest but instead finds himself in a brightly coloured futuristic world full of machines and unfamiliar clothing. William has found himself in 2016 at The Edge which sits on the old site of Saint Helen’s Hospital.

As he wanders through this overwhelming space, William’s ear picks up someone playing music nearby. Following the sound, he walks down a hallway and finds a young, casually dressed women, Emily, playing an acoustic guitar which she ceases immediately upon seeing William. Each confounded by the other, the pair share their stories and attempt to understand the other. They discuss where they are from, William’s family situation and Emily’s music. While exploring this new place on the greatest adventure of this life, William is hit with a strong desire to share his experience with his family, and he knows he must return home. He suddenly leaves to get back to his father’s bedside where his mother and sister are struggling to deal with what is happening.

Emily, who found William’s story of time traveling to be intriguing did not believe it actually happened and that he was merely a young guy who was having some sort of mental breakdown due to his familial situation. This is what she believed until she received another visitor at the recording studio a number of weeks later. A young man, Luke stood in the doorway of the studio, just as William had done, though this man appeared to know who she was. He explains his reason for being there and soon reveals that he is actually the grandson of William who had passed away 10 years earlier.
